Occupational Health & Safety

Trottier Construction is dedicated to the well being of all its workers, its sub-contractors and of building occupants. Incident and accident prevention is our main goal on all our projects, as well as maintaining our Zero Tolerance policy towards all safety violations. We continuously strive to exceed the standards set by the Ontario and Québec Occupational Health and Safety Act and their respective regulations.

We take pride in our strong safety leadership roles, both on our projects and within the construction industry. Trottier Construction has been an active member of the WSIB/OCA Safety Group since 2001, and has been rated the #1 safety group in the province of Ontario in 2003.

Our contributing factors in ensuring a good health and safety environment on all our projects are:

• Certified Health and Safety Representative(s)
• A health and safety hazard recognition, assessment and control program tailored to every project
• Developing and implementing policies and programs for safe work procedures
• Training programs
• Safety meetings with all parties involved on our projects (client, client representatives, workers, sub-trades, suppliers)
• Networking with several affiliation such as OCA, CSAO, WSIB, the "Commission de la santé et de la sécurité au travail", the "Commission de la construction du Québec" and BOMA
